East London Links

Description of Service
Set up in 1999, East London Links (ELL) is a collaborative project between Kipper Project, Step Up (formerly the Homeless Young People's Project) and the Homerton Space Project.  The three agencies are key providers of a range of services to homeless young people across east London, and ELL works to provide a platform for sharing of resources, strategic coordination of services, development of joint new initiatives and raising the profile of youth homelessness.

Purpose of Grant
As ELL was the result of a collaboration of 3 organisations, each member agency was working to its own policies and procedures.  The grant was provided to assist with producing a body of policies and procedures, which comply with regulatory requirements and expectations, reflecting best practice to develop a common set of policies and procedures for the three organisations, and to devise a longer-term plan for rolling review and updating of policies.  The funding also helped to finance a consultant to work with ELL in reviewing existing policies and drafting the new shared information.
