Description of Homeless Link
Homeless Link is the membership organisation supporting and representing more than 700 agencies working with homeless people across England and Wales. Together, our member agencies deliver a wide range of services to meet the needs of homeless people. Our mission is to provide frontline homelessness agencies with a single strong voice in order to influence policy and public opinion and to provide them with high quality services, which will improve their effectiveness.
As well as advocating on behalf voluntary agencies tackling homelessness and ensuring that key issues are part of wider policy debates, Homeless Link also provides more practical services such as an extensive training and conference programme designed to share best practice. The organisation regularly commissions pertinent research and surveys, ensuring that up to date information on important and significant issues is available to both its members and the wider public.
Purpose of Grant
The grant enabled an independent evaluator to undertake a review of our services to homelessness organisations in London and to clarify the expectations of members and other stakeholders in order to frame future provision. The outcome was a working framework within which we are able to develop and deliver better services for our members.
