History of the Leadership Programme
Between 1995 and 1999 some 66 individuals and their organisations benefited from attending the 'Homeless Agencies Leadership Programme' (HALP). This 12 month course was developed by the Office for Public Management (OPM) and accredited by Sheffield Hallam University. Many of these individuals also attended a programme of annual summer schools for HALP graduates, held at Cumberland Lodge in Windsor Great Park.
Leadership development was relaunched as part of the IMPACT programme in November 2002, when 27 senior managers for homelessness agencies participated in a three day event. Specially designed by OPM, this residential training focused on stimulating leadership potential and developing the capacity of agency and sector leaders to manage change effectively.
