Bursaries for study visits

The London Housing Foundation is accepting requests for bursaries to enable those in the London homelessness sector to expand their knowledge and learn from innovative work in the sector. These grants are available on an ad hoc basis for study visits in the UK and overseas and should reflect the Foundation’s desire to support and enable both organisational and individual transition.

The Foundation requests that any bursary study visits are undertaken on the understanding that the Foundation requires a full written report on the visit (within one month of the visit), which will be published on the website.

'Community Care' in Utrecht (2006)

In March 2006 the Foundation sponsored five people to attend a conference in Utrecht and to investigate their model of 'community care' for the interrelated issues of homelessness, street population, drug addiction, street drinking, asylum seekers and prostitution. Three people from Broadway and two from the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham attended, including Howard Sinclair, the Chief Executive of Broadway, who made a presentation on tackling homelessness in London.
