We are offering two sorts of support to London day centres that want to implement the
standards.
Consultancy
We can provide a consultant with in-depth experience of working with day centres to help you consider whether the standards are right for your centre and, if so, what you would need to do to meet them. The initial session will be paid for automatically by the London Housing Foundation. If you need further support, we will discuss with you the amount of additional support we can fund.

Mentoring
A number of centres, particularly the larger ones, are keen to support London day centres that would like help to implement the standards. Support could include acting as a sounding-board to help you think through the challenges faced by your centre, sharing policies and procedures that you can adapt to your own needs, or helping you to make links with useful partner agencies.
The London Housing Foundation is providing a facility to introduce day centre staff who want to offer and receive mentoring support, focused on the implementation of the Day Centre Standards. This is not a fully-fledged mentoring scheme, and participating staff and organisations should be aware that if they need training, risk assessment, or ongoing support around mentoring, they should make their own arrangements to put these in place.
More about mentoring.
