Guide to mergers literature

In 2006, the Foundation commissioned Alan Cripps, of Neadon Consulting, and Mary Carter to carry out a review of the relevant material and produce an accessible guide.

A guide to the Literature on Mergers for Voluntary and Community sector Organisations, was published by the Foundation in late 2006.

Drawing on over 60 publications, the report is structured in two sections:

• Key publications and a brief overview of useful but less relevant pieces
• The key elements of the merger process and signposts to the resources most helpful at different stages of the process and those most likely to provide a complete range of advice and information.
  

Wherever possible the guide links to the original material, making it easy to access the sources online.
