22nd January 2010
On 21st January 2010, the Foundation held a workshop on social
networking, Web 2.0 and homelessness. Led by Ian Gee, LHF board member and Head of Organisation Development and Change at Nokia Corporation, this free workshop explored the use of social media and Web 2.0 in the homelessness arena, including:
- Connecting with service users and enabling greater self direction and feedback
- Building new relationships between service providers and with funders
- Potential applications linked to the prevention of homelessness.
Subsequently a LinkedIn group was set up to share ideas and information and foster discussion on the wider use of these new tools. Visit the
LinkedIn Web 2.0, social networking and homelessness group page and join to tell us about your experiences of using Web 2.0 in the homelessness sector.
